Virtual Eco- Fashion
Role: Level Designer
Location: University of South Wales
Team Size: 5
Duration: 16 Weeks
Background
During my second year at University I had a chance to work on a Virtual Fashion Project. I was tasked to design an environment that would showcase the fashion pieces.
Responsibilities

-
Creating a dystopian environment in a mall.
-
Communicating closely with the animator and fashion designer.
-
Models Layout/ Placement
-
I find that sketching on a rough paper or paint is very easy and convenient to communicate my ideas to my team quickly and efficiently. Here are some sketches that the animator initially presented and how I improved on those.

The above image was provided to me by the animator who wanted the mall to look like this. But since the main aspect of this project were the models and the clothes I had a chat with the animator and scaled it down.

Level Design Phase & Final Images
Once I had some research done for the dystopian look I wanted to experiment with it a little and played around with decals, foliages and upturned furnitures. A website that was good for decals and assets like graffiti, cracks, foliages etc is Quixel Megascan which was a great way to have some amazing quality assets for a project.

After that, I placed the models in the world and tested on how their display would work and look to the audience.
